Pizza Slice Iron On Patch: The Facts + The Making Video

The Pizza Slice Patch:

This patch is based on a flat 'icon' style drawing of a slice of pepperoni pizza. The Pizza Slice iron on patch is sized approximately 6.2cm high x 4.5cm wide, is fully embroidered, features an easy to use iron-on backing and is designed, manufactured and shipped by Hatty Hats Embroidery in the United Kingdom.

The colours used:

A total of 5 different colours make up the Pizza Slice iron on patch, these colours consist of; yellow, red, green, light brown and black. The colour most used in this patch is the yellow for the main shape of the pizza slice. The red and green are used for the pepperoni and vegetable toppings, the light brown is used for the crust and the black finishes the patch off with all it's edges and outlines.

The making video:

To keep this design tidy all the colours are blocked together and laid from the lowest to the highest. 

  1. Our embroidery machine starts with the yellow thread and lays the main triangular shape of the pizza slice design. 
  1. The machine then switches to the light brown thread and lays the crust on the outside of the slice. 
  1. Next the thread is switched to the red and the pepperoni pieces are laid. 
  1. The green thread is then chosen and the vegetable toppings are laid. 
  1. Finally the black thread is selected and laid on the edges and outlines of the Pizza Slice patch.

Whipped Navy Baseball Cap: The Facts + Making Video

The 'Whipped' Fingerprint Design:

The definition of 'whipped' as quoted from the Urban Dictionary is "being completely controlled by your girlfriend or boyfriend...in most cases a guy being completely controlled by his girlfriend."  The 'Whipped' Fingerprint embroidered design has been carefully crafted for anybody that’s lucky enough to be under the thumb👍👨👩...😉. The embroidery is sized approximately 5cm high x 4cm wide and is designed, manufactured and shipped by Hatty Hats Embroidery in the United Kingdom.

The Colours Used:

The Whipped Fingerprint design is stitched with only one colour on the navy baseball cap and thats white. This colour is used for both the text caption and fingerprint design.

The 'Whipped' Fingerprint design has a total of 3703 stitches, uses 30 foot of thread and takes our embroidery machines roughly around 7 minutes to produce. Check out the video below to see this patch being made, see if you can count the stitches ;-).

The Navy Baseball Cap:

Made from a strong 100% cotton twill, heavy weight fabric this cap has been built with quality in mind. The navy baseball cap has a one size fits all, 6 panelled design and features a robust pre-curved peak, stitched ventilation eyelets and a fully adjustable buckled size strap at the rear.

The Making Video:

  1. Starting at the top of the baseball cap our embroidery machine first lays the thumb print. This design is built up from the outside to the inside. 
  1. Next the machine jumps down and lays the second half of the design, the letters 'ped' from the centre of the baseball cap. 
  1. Finally the embroidery machine again jumps back to the centre of the cap and lays the final part of the design, the text 'whip'.

Emojional Navy Baseball Cap: The Facts + Making Video

The Emojional Design:

‘Emojional’ is the combination of two words; ‘emoji’ and ‘emotional’, it’s defined by the Urban Dictionary as “Using excessive emoticons or emojis while texting, in an emotional state”. The embroidery is sized approximately 3cm high x 7cm wide and is designed, manufactured and shipped by Hatty Hats Embroidery in the United Kingdom.

The Colours Used:

The Emojional embroidery on the navy baseball cap uses 2 colours; a white and a blue. The white is used for the body of the text and the blue is used for the ‘tears’ on the lower right side of the design.

The Stitch Count:

(Total number of times the embroidery needle moves up & down.)

The Emojional embroidered design has a total of 2702 stitches, uses 28 foot of thread and takes our embroidery machines roughly around 6 minutes to produce. Check out the video below to see this patch being made, see if you can count the stitches ;-).

The Navy Baseball Cap:

The Making Video:

To keep this design tidy all the colours are blocked together and laid from the lowest to the highest.

  1. Our embroidery machine starts off with the blue thread and lays both the tears that sit at the end of the text.
  1. Next the thread is changed to the white and the second half of the design 'ional' is laid starting from the centre of the cap.
  1. Starting again from the centre of the cap our machine then lays the final part of the design: 'emoj'.

Avocado Iron On Patch: The Facts + The Making Video

The Avocado Patch:

The Avocado iron on patch is based on a flat style drawing of an Avocado that has been cut into two halves, the patch is sized approximately 6.5cm high x 3.5cm wide. The Avocado patch is fully embroidered and features an easy to use iron-on backing. This patch is designed, manufactured and shipped by Hatty Hats Embroidery in the United Kingdom.

The colours used:

There is a total of 4 colours used to make the Avocado iron on patch, these colours consist of; brown, light green, pale green and dark green. The main colours used in this patch are the brown and the light green for the body of the Avocado. The pale green and dark green is then used for the outlines and borders.

The stitch count:

(Total number of times the embroidery needle moves up & down.)

The Avocado iron on patch has a total of 5174 stitches, uses 70 foot of thread and takes our embroidery machines roughly around 10 minutes to produce. Check out the video below to see this patch being made, see if you can count the stitches ;-). 

The cool facts:

  • Avocados are NOT a vegetable they are intact a fruit, more specifically they're a berry.
  • Avocado trees do not self-pollinate, they actually mate with each other…seriously Google it! 
  • Avocados contain 4 grams of protein, this makes them the fruit with the highest protein content.

The making video: 

To keep this design tidy all the colours are blocked together and laid from the lowest to the highest. 

  1. Our embroidery machine starts off with the brown thread and lays the centre stone of the Avocado. 
  1. The light green is then selected and the main body of the Avocado gets laid. 
  1. Next the pale green is selected and the first border is laid. 
  1. Finally our machine selects the dark green thread and lays the outer border of the Avocado patch.
