Emojional Navy Baseball Cap: The Facts + Making Video
Posted by BRADLEY GRAVETT
The Emojional Design:
‘Emojional’ is the combination of two words; ‘emoji’ and ‘emotional’, it’s defined by the Urban Dictionary as “Using excessive emoticons or emojis while texting, in an emotional state”. The embroidery is sized approximately 3cm high x 7cm wide and is designed, manufactured and shipped by Hatty Hats Embroidery in the United Kingdom.
The Colours Used:
The Emojional embroidery on the navy baseball cap uses 2 colours; a white and a blue. The white is used for the body of the text and the blue is used for the ‘tears’ on the lower right side of the design.
The Stitch Count:
(Total number of times the embroidery needle moves up & down.)
The Emojional embroidered design has a total of 2702 stitches, uses 28 foot of thread and takes our embroidery machines roughly around 6 minutes to produce. Check out the video below to see this patch being made, see if you can count the stitches ;-).
The Navy Baseball Cap:
Made from a strong 100% cotton twill, heavy weight fabric this cap has been built with quality in mind. The navy baseball cap has a one size fits all, 6 panelled design and features a robust pre-curved peak, stitched ventilation eyelets and a fully adjustable buckled size strap at the rear.
The Making Video:
To keep this design tidy all the colours are blocked together and laid from the lowest to the highest.
- Our embroidery machine starts off with the blue thread and lays both the tears that sit at the end of the text.
- Next the thread is changed to the white and the second half of the design 'ional' is laid starting from the centre of the cap.
- Starting again from the centre of the cap our machine then lays the final part of the design: 'emoj'.
